Broadening its spread |

The Association for Project Management is well and truly broadening its appeal. It has come a long way from the days when it was dominated by the heavy industrial organisations and now embraces projects as vehicles for change generally. The new Body of Knowledge, 5th edition, now covers all the areas I would expect to see and further, it does not stray too far into the realms of programmes. Can it yet regards itself as THE professional body for project management? That can only be looked at in retrospect. However, it is going in the right direction, with many employers and emloyees activley seeking the qualilifaications offered, Clearly APM has the Royal Charter in its sights. I am pleased to see that Project Workout is one of the most referenced books in the Body of Knowledge! |
